So a little later than I had planned due to nanowrimo…
Up to now, we’ve jumped to near 4000 hits on just this one… I am stoked.

I tend not to post about things that bother me at the time, because the emotions are pretty raw.
This week has been a tough one, at work and at home.
Pauls job has gotten so much worse on him and to be fair he’s done his absolute best, but they’re almost forcing him out the door.
I had to take him to the doctors on thursday because his stress levels are through the roof. He’s not sleeping, or functioning anywhere like himself. It sucks. So he’s been signed off till Xmas, this means less money for us and less stuff we can do while we’re off. Nothing like having a bored husband for 10 days…
Unfortunately for me this affects my mood for writing. 😦 so it hasn’t been the best week, even though I have really tried. This computer sucks too, it crashes every day. While I back up on a regular basis, it still crashes and I’ve lost so much work because of it. Bless my hubby’s mate for trying to get mine fixed and lending this one too me, but if it isn’t back soon, (before Xmas) I think I am just going to get a new one in the Jan sales, even if it is buy now pay later… I can’t carry on with this, its just crap.
Today I’ve spent the day cleaning, because I didn’t do any in November lol… its been kinda nice to get the bedroom sort of clean. Still need to put away some junk though, my stash of books, writing stuff and bits and bobs is just all over the place. I don’t know where it all comes from sometimes. Wow….
Been out in -3 this morning to clean and re-fill the pond. The blanketweed is dying off, so its clogging the filters. And it is so so cold, poor fish. The only ones who aren’t feeling the cold are the babies. (they’re still at 12d)
My plan for this afternoon is to carry on cleaning for a bit, then stop and do some writing, hopefully. 🙂

Well, so far this week I am still trying to keep my nano objectivity. I was hoping to write the 1500 a day, but it is a struggle without the other people egging me on. So, I have decided that I am happy with 1000 a day.
At this rate I am still hoping to finish this month. That is a more realistic goal I think for myself.
Weekends are planned, so can’t really get much in there, although I would love to sit and write for 10 hours like I did a couple of weeks ago. Not going to happen in December, party month. And also my birthday. 🙂
What are your goals this month then? anyone?
I have also been a little easier on myself regarding time. I am allowed to go and visit others blogs, and I am allowed to read and comment. So this will help I hope in contacting other like-minded people, so hopefully getting to know others will help keep me on track. At least that is the plan.
Oh, and early nights are nice… reading before bed is just bliss. I had missed that.

So yeah, Wednesday is hump day. Middle of the week. The worst and also the best day because once it is over, you know Friday will soon be here.
I had a more productive day today than I did this last couple. Only because I came home and forced myself to start at 4pm, just like I was doing through nanowrimo.
To get anywhere near finishing this in the next couple of weeks. I need to write 1500 words a day, so I’ve made the effort, and I’ve done today’s count at least. 🙂
8.15 though and I am pretty tired. I am sure its the cold that makes me feel like curling up and just hibernating for like the whle of winter.
A lot of progress for today, so I am pleased. Going to retire now for the night. Think an early one and some reading is in order.

I’ve had a couple of days of just pottering about with the writing and this morning we went out to get a little shopping so I didn’t get to do as much as I wanted.
However, I was quite impressed with today’s output. 1500 words… taking my total to 44,500
More for the creativeness of it than the word count. Having characters inside a whole story world come to life and make their own decisions is just amazing.
The TSK world is solid, plotted and planned. But, there is still room for characters to pop and come alive.
That happened today with a character who is in the series, but hasn’t yet appeared in the novel. It was totally enlightening.
I now have had to set myself another goal. Now that nanowrimo is technically over and my novel isn’t finished, it would be so easy for me to procrastinate December away and not get it done. I want to get it done however for my birthday weekend. 15th of Dec.
So, writing 1500 words a day and I should meet my target. I should have this part of the puzzle done and dusted. Will it be easy? No… because these characters are alive, thinking and feeling.
I guess I will have to see what happens… it is just so exciting though.
Once I have it finished, I am going to take a little break, print it out and then start the editing/organizing process.
