So today, I finally finished my edits through with TSK.

I followed all instructions from EJ Runyon, using Scrivener to the absolute best of it’s ability. I had my team TZBF in the UberGroup on Scribophile fast track the latter chapters so that I could get their valuable feedback on the whole thing and I had one young man, read from start to finish in less than two weeks.

TSK has had two major full edits, been read by several beta readers, re-edited, re-read, and re-edited. Yikes. I know a lot, but worth it.

It’s been a long haul, but I’ve really enjoyed it and today I sent it back to EJ for a full read through before it goes off to Rogena for copy editing.

I am not totally sure how I feel about it, I’ve done as much as I possibly can, my eyes hurt. I’ve read it from front to back and yet, after I sent it I still noticed an extra . at the end of a sentence. gee….

Here’s hoping, that when it comes back, it’s then off out into the world of querying. And not into the trash can. lol

I feel blessed to have the wonderful readers and writers around me who have been through this 12 mth journey with me and TSK-Lethao.

Thankfully, it’s been one busy, busy week. 🙂

We have a BBQ tomorrow, but I’ve so much to do. EEK I’m scared now. lol

Missed Bobby this week, spent as much with him as possible, but it’s been so tiring.

I’m glad it’s the weekend. Drink and relax for me. Some films tonight and a beer.

I have no idea what’s for tea? Do you?

And yeah, second week in work, so had to go back to the gym. 🙂 Feeling all worked out and refreshed now. Although I did take it a little easier on myself. Couldn’t go hell for leather like I did last week and hurt my hip again, it’s counter productive. So gentle back into it is the way to go.

Couple of thing I need to do today before I can totally chill out. So, I’d better get on with it, gee wiz no rest for the wicked at all.

OMG, I logged in today to find that I’d actually registered 5 years ago. How does the time fly. It’s really, really gone so fast.

So, first week back in work. Well what new hell was this… lol. I never had the energy even to get to the gym, but I must get back to that next week. After putting a few pounds on while away, I proper feel lethargic now.

The weekend was to be about my team TZBF in the ubergroup on scrib. It’s a private group where we concentrate in teams of 6 to aid each other with out work. I’ve had some reading and reviewing to do, which was nice, but also I’ve been editing. Never enough time in the day, seriously.

One of the biggest jobs I had over the last three weeks, was to start to search for a copy editor. I’ve spread my wings out and been looking really hard for someone to go through with the final copy on my novel TSK. I’ve approached several people, chatted with a good few and had some samples back.

But, and this is a big but, it really hasn’t been an easy task.

There have been some who after promising they’d get back to me, never bothered.

And then there have been a couple of amazing responses.

Price was always going to be a factor. I know it’s not cheap. I’ve been saving for it.

It really was a very hard decision.

I am very happy with the choice I made and I hope that she will enjoy my story as well as look forward to building a working relationship for the next few years. Exciting, yes, nervous, oh yes. 🙂 But in a good way.

I’ve still been having one or two people take a read of my work. But, there is a time when you’ve got to say, no, no more changes. I’m happy with it. Time to move on and set it free. Like any project, it can be tweaked and changed to death.
