Stressful Week! but it is over!

It’s really just been one of those weeks, where everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Work’s been up the wall with this new computing system, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel with it, and it’s looking like a very good system. It’s just been so so tough getting here.

The other half’s been on 4 early shifts, and that always makes me more tired and irritable and nothing seemed to be going right from Monday, I pranged my work van as well, the weather here has been nice for a change and that meant sun… which one min there it was, and I could see to reverse and the next it had gone. I was reversing up a hill and before I could brake I hit a wall. Uggh, not only broke the lights, I obliterated them ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Oh dear…

The biggest issue has been with the bank. I noticed on Wed that a 99p payment wouldn’t go through for amazon, and on thursday my google account had been stopped. So we called in and the Fraud team had stopped everything, I had sorted it out last night, but this morning nope, no access to any of our accounts. Sigh, so more messing about from 4.30 am in the morning when I should have been in work cleaning my van.

Driving around, I could hear some weird noise, yep, brake pads gone… so had to also sort that out today. Why….

Thank Crunchie it’s Friday, and I’m done!

Time to chill out and then I can actually do some work and catch up with things tomorrow!

Discovering Audible!

Okay, okay, so I’ve had my Audible account since like last year, and whispersync and ‘read aloud’ on my kindle since I broke my arm in 2013, but I have only recently discovered that I can actually LISTEN while I’m driving.

At work, I get these spates where, to and from the bigger sites, I have 20-30 mins to listen straight.

I gotta admit, the first full book I listened to was – Constitution written by Nick Webb and Narrated, by Greg Tremblay.

My review of this is here –ย http://www.audible.co.uk/listener/kanundra/A17DGMWIBKQAZC/ref=a_pd_Sci-Fi_c9_1_2_rwTtl?asin=B013S27Y2I

But, the fact remains, I’d never done it before, and now I’m hooked. I got through a couple more books this week, and I’m onto the next. This is going to get pretty darned expensive. lol

What I’ve found more relaxing and exciting than anything is I’m also discovering new stories and ‘sub’ genres that I might not have even looked at. I don’t get anywhere as much time as I used to for reading. And my reading lists now consist more of helping out ‘other writers’ in The Ubergroup on scribophile or my other writing friends with projects they’re working on.

Of course, TSK takes a lot of my time, and so does promoting, organising things and other people. Time is so darned precious at the moment. I have to use it the best way I can, for everyone I’m involved with.

So, I’ve also just finished, Silicone Dawn, written by William Massa and narrated by Joe Hempel. Another book, I just couldn’t put down. the review of that one is here. ย http://www.audible.co.uk/listener/kanundra/A17DGMWIBKQAZC/ref=a_pd_Sci-Fi_c9_1_2_rwTtl?asin=B013S27Y2I

I’m telling you, if you travel or do anything where you can listen to a book. Audible, and these guys rock.

Love it!

Jan excitement!- already!

I can’t honestly tell you guys what a whirlwind of a few weeks, or month it’s been. I’ve had so much stuff to do at home, life on the computer sorta went on hold for it. Bar Facebook and a couple of other bits and pieces, I’ve tried my best to just ‘tick’ over.

I’ve a few things which I’m so excited about. The prospects for 2016 are looking just amazing. I have all my fingers crossed we’re off to a fab start!

So, personal and life stuff. The house, is almost done. Just needs a paint! It took us a lot longer than we thought, there were several hitches along the way and of course it was more expensive. But the finished room, is fantastic. We could not be happier with our decision to do it, right then and there. ๐Ÿ™‚

Things with my health are also fab, check in with the doctors this week and they’re proud that I’ve done exactly what I set my mind to. I’ve accomplished my goal and stuck to it for 4 mths.

I coloured my hair for Xmas, and we made the most of it! 8 of us around our table in the new room. It was great fun.

I will admit though, that I put some xmas weight on. Everyone does right? But I am still now at my original goal, so having a few to play about with is just awesome.

Boxing day and the rest of Jan for the UK has been rough. We helped some of our neighbours out Boxing morning to flooded garages and yards. It’s been the wettest on record, with so much flooding and damage. Another problem for us to sort out because the Koi pond flooded and my filter was damaged. (yey for more stuff to do) haha.

But it’s not looking like it’s letting up either. And I can only hope for those who have had homes and livestock lost that they can come out of this on the other side. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ pray for less rain for us all please.

That’s it for now guys and gals, a lot to catch up on as usual. I’m going to make a separate post for TSK and how we’re doing. ๐Ÿ™‚ So catch you laters.

Hope you’ve a fab day ahead. ๐Ÿ™‚ x

Cora – Day 3

I didn’t get chance to write about her yesterday so there are two today.

I was concerned for her behaviour and so asked a few friends. Video is here.

Cora was pacing a lot when first uncovered and throughout the day. Advice was to cover a portion of her cage and move her food bowl close to where she could sit comfortably.

This seemed to make a difference yesterday…

Progress at work was lots of nice writing done ๐Ÿ™‚

Bit of a mixed week.

Hey everyone. It’s been a cracking week for me. I’ve been snowed under at work, which has been very hard but I’ve loved it. ๐Ÿ™‚ And, I’m happy to say that, we’re down to the last 140 pages of our edits on TSK.

Speaking of which, because I had such a weird start to the week I treated myself and contacted, Jakob Burgos over on http://www.talentville.com

Here’s the new banner, designed to attract people to my story/script ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy….Image
