Jan excitement!- already!

I can’t honestly tell you guys what a whirlwind of a few weeks, or month it’s been. I’ve had so much stuff to do at home, life on the computer sorta went on hold for it. Bar Facebook and a couple of other bits and pieces, I’ve tried my best to just ‘tick’ over.

I’ve a few things which I’m so excited about. The prospects for 2016 are looking just amazing. I have all my fingers crossed we’re off to a fab start!

So, personal and life stuff. The house, is almost done. Just needs a paint! It took us a lot longer than we thought, there were several hitches along the way and of course it was more expensive. But the finished room, is fantastic. We could not be happier with our decision to do it, right then and there. 🙂

Things with my health are also fab, check in with the doctors this week and they’re proud that I’ve done exactly what I set my mind to. I’ve accomplished my goal and stuck to it for 4 mths.

I coloured my hair for Xmas, and we made the most of it! 8 of us around our table in the new room. It was great fun.

I will admit though, that I put some xmas weight on. Everyone does right? But I am still now at my original goal, so having a few to play about with is just awesome.

Boxing day and the rest of Jan for the UK has been rough. We helped some of our neighbours out Boxing morning to flooded garages and yards. It’s been the wettest on record, with so much flooding and damage. Another problem for us to sort out because the Koi pond flooded and my filter was damaged. (yey for more stuff to do) haha.

But it’s not looking like it’s letting up either. And I can only hope for those who have had homes and livestock lost that they can come out of this on the other side. 😦 pray for less rain for us all please.

That’s it for now guys and gals, a lot to catch up on as usual. I’m going to make a separate post for TSK and how we’re doing. 🙂 So catch you laters.

Hope you’ve a fab day ahead. 🙂 x

The words no Koi Keeper ever wishes to here. :(

A lot of you know I keep Koi, my pictures and videos are there for all to see. They’re a huge part of my life, I love them, just as much as I love my cat, Spooky and my Parrot, Bobby.

The latest video of course https://vimeo.com/105432969

But, you don’t know that I also help moderate over a few forums. Mostly the guys there play nice, which is always good to see. And I help where and wherever I can. Locally in my area, I’ve helped a few valued friends. And hope to continue to do so.

But there are some very worrying concerns within the hobby a virus called KHV which everyone knows and learns about. It was with great sadness that I’ve followed one of our forum members tragic experience this last week in their collection getting sick, to the Final Diagnosis and euthanasia of their whole pond. 😦

I won’t take any of their post to put here, but wanted to link to the forum because of all the love and support Bryan and Rosemary have had there.

The posts speak for themselves, and I am very proud of our community and the site for what it is. As far as a hobby goes, you will never, ever have friends like you do here.

Completely different to the bird community. There is no where near as much nonsense. I am a proud and happy Koi Keeper, and I hope that Bryan and Rosemary may start again. With love and support anything is possible.

I wish them well for the future.

Weeks holiday : )

I’ve had a wonderful weeks holiday. Only been around the house and pottering about. Had lots of time to spend with Bobby. And lots of time to write.

Bobby is coming along in leaps and bounds, he’s had first blood. But, I’m actually really getting him used to me. He’s no longer scared. He’s eating well and I’m so happy for him. First vet visit on wed for him. Want to check out how his wings are and his feather condition. 🙂

Here’s a pic for you….

I had booked extra time with EJ, which was very beneficial. I learned loads this week. And I’ve finalised my first two chapters. In regards to their pacing and style. Maybe some people still won’t like it, or think there is too much stuff to come before it. But I’m happy with it. I think it’s ‘near’ there. 🙂 You can never say perfect. As writers we’re always tweaking something or another. lol

The weather has been pretty hit and miss, it’s left the garden growing well. Because of the rain and the sunshine. And it’s left my main pond green and warm 🙂

My fish are even thinking of spawning today. So it just shows how much its changed in a week. 🙂

I am very happy to say there are no problems with them, where as there was for the most part of last year. No changes and fingers crossed that it’s a nice summer.

Last day off on my hols tomorrow, and I’m glad I’ve had the rest. I’m not overly looking forward to re-joining the rat race. But I’ll be happy to get back into things.

Mum flies to spain with Frank on Friday for a week, so we’re looking after their cat for a week, he’ll just want some food and cuddles in the evening. He’s a cute cat, so I don’t mind. I’ll just have to slot him in where the rest of my pets don’t demand attention.

So, onwards to tomorrow and hopefully I’ll speak to you soon.

Wed tagging on Thurs :)

Ummm don’t know what happened there… I thought I posted it live. Guess I didn’t. Oops…

Wed….

I sometimes just don’t know where the time goes. This weeks flying by…. eeek.

Problems this morning with my script registrations. So had to sort that out. Funny isn’t it that almost 12 mths ago and they’ve lost my card payment details. Good job Paypal is so organised.

Work, work, work. And it’s been so busy… Can’t wait for next week when we get four days off for Easter 🙂 Yippie… I’ll get some time to catch up on things before the end of the month.

I’ve done as much editing as I can. Almost to the end of Chap 5 now. 🙂 It’s really bad when you’ve taken some time off from the piece and only been concentrating on the beginning. When you actually do move forward, you are thrown back into the world you created with a new vision. It’s brilliant. Thank you E.J. Runyon 🙂

Just been out for a small drink with the other half. Time to relax and a chippy tea… (sod the weight thing… lol.
