Monday :)

So the weekend was mostly spent in bed. Recuperating. Although I am still feeling a little full of cold. I do feel much better.

Wish I could take some time off work to really re-charge. But seems that they’re so snowed under they can’t. And they’ve still not advertised for the new position promised. That would help out their work/holiday load for sure. You can’t have 14 people working for you and only one person available to cover. The sums just don’t add up. When we all get 3 weeks holiday. And no one really wants to take them in the dead of winter now do they so out of the 52 weeks. Most really want there hols in the summer…

Oh well.

In other news. Treated the Koi again yesterday. Was a bit hairy towards the end. They started to sulk around the surface so I neutralized it this time and changed some water.

Couple of lunkers. The chemical reaction from the HP is quite strong. And they don’t like this as much as being treated with the PP.

Poor fish.

Will have to leave them for a week or so and see how they’re doing.

Writing wise. Finally got back into it yesterday. It is good to take some time off but hard to get back into the zone.

I am raring to get going some more though. Easter hols soon. This year it comes early at the end of the month. So looking forward to it. I’m physically and mentally exhausted. 😦 and I know that is why I get sick easily. Plus the ED never helped lower immune system.

Fingers crossed that this month starts to pick up. Mortgage adviser should get back to us with some info. And I’m hopeful for our future.

Fingers crossed for me everyone.

Feeling very tired and am suffering with a dry cold. (never had one before) Second part of the interview is up 🙂 Please check it out and comment. Here or there. It has been very illuminating.

The Next Blog Hop

Many thanks to http://www.writesofluid.com/ for tagging me in this Blog Hop, which consists of ten questions about my current project/s and then tagging other authors/writers. Here goes! This has been hard work. And so sorry that it is a bit late.

1. What is the working title of your next book?

The Secret King – The Beginning

2. Where did the idea come from for your book?

The original idea for the series came in a dream. Way back in 2007. I wrote my first ever feature film. Titled The Secret King. And it progressed from there. A un-named entity on the internet reviewed it and thought it would make a great series. So the TV series was born. As the un-known person became a ‘known’ person, and a fast friend. I allowed him to take part and we became writing partners. This current novel is basically everything that happens before the TV series.

3. What genre does the book fall under?

It is Sci Fi / Space Oprah

4. What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movies rendition?

That’s a hard one. Although I’ve recently started talking to a great actor on Facebook, Rob Talbot and he is so great. I could really see him as one of my leads. We had a conversation about him always playing the bad guys. And I think he’d make a very good ‘King’ in my book. 🙂 I guess you just never know. That is the beauty of writing.

5. What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?

With their sun about to go Super Nova, Kendro, King of The Aonise fights to save his species from total annihilation.

6. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

I don’t know yet. I’ve been having coaching lessons with E.J Runyon (highly recommended for any writer) and I would like to try the traditional route before I go self publishing. We’ll see.

7. How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?

It took me 47 days. 80,819 words.

8. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

I don’t know haven’t had much time for reading with all the editing. 🙂 lol

9. Who or what inspired you to write this book?

Inspiration for this book came just in the nick of time for Nanowrimo. I hadn’t had much of an excuse to write this year bar the Web Series Best Friends so it was great to have the freedom to write un-cumbered with nano.

10. What else about the book might pique the reader’s interest?

The characters are really down to ‘Earth’, although from another planet and a totally different species, they still have the same thoughts and feelings that we do.

To quote something I have mentioned before…..

Admiral Octav and his long time friend and bodyguard Chace were out celebrating, food and a few drinks in a bar that they had never been in before. Octav didn’t like the look of his dinner, so Chace ate it instead. Only to find out later the next day that he’d been severely poisoned with a genetically enhanced killing agent. While on his deathbed and with no emotional barrier protecting his feelings for his commanding officer Chace and Octav realize that they’ve been fighting the truth for too long. But their relationship would be very complicated. Octav is married, Admiral of the fleet and Second in command to House Niakrex. Although things are left very tense time really isn’t on their side.

Decidedly had enough…

I spent an hour in the bank yesterday. Trying to sort out the mess they’ve made.

Their excuse we ‘the appointment was for the 23rd March’

No way. We wouldn’t have agreed to that… an 8 week wait…

So after kicking off at my bank manager. She got me an emergency call back for today. I had a few issues in work because I’m so stressed out. I forgot to include something and my cash was out. Took 20 mins to find it with my manager. And then I was late home. They did ring me back however. A nice guy called Raj….

But…

After starting the whole process again. FIVE minutes into the conversation. And he asked. ‘Have any of you been made bankrupt or in an IVA’ so I answered as I did 2 weeks ago.

Yes we’ve been in an IVA. It has been closed for nearly 3 years now.

He turned about and said they wouldn’t offer us a mortgage anyway. Just on that answer.

WHAT!!!!

Why the hell didn’t the stupid woman we talked too two weeks ago, like, well mention this. She asked me. I said it had been closed and we’d got all the paper work. I was sat in the bank looking at it!!!

He couldn’t understand why either so I basically told him how I felt. So let down by the whole company.

One says one thing…..

Another says another thing…

NO ONE makes any sense.

I give up with them… We have someone coming to the house on Thursday. Who set up the original mortgage and we’ll more than likely let him sort it all out.

So fed up right now.

Koi….

After the trouble yesterday. I ended up treating the main pond. Took a dose and a half although not sure it was totally active for the full 4 hours as it was going dark.

Pond has had a good water change today and will do again tomorrow and then will rescrape.

All fish are swimming about. Temp is over 11d today. So heater is doing better. Even with the water changes.

Fingers crossed. 🙂

Love to ya all…
