Last Sick day :)

Hey everyone 🙂

Today is my official last sick day from breaking my elbow. It’s been a long road, and it’s really set me back a little. Not only the physical side of things but emotionally too. However, the good news is, I’m happy that I will soon be back at work and things this year will hopefully be vastly different.

I must admit I wasn’t overtly happy getting on the scales this morning. But I needed to check what I’ve actually put on, and I knew I had. It’s not hard when you’re incapable of doing anything but walking to put on. I am really trying not to let that side of things get me down. I’ve agreed with a friend that we’ll do this together and that I have to shift weight put on, and weight I wanted to before that. Ideally getting to a goal which I know is good for me. I’ve a fair way to go. But our goal is similar. ED you can steer clear, this is going to be healthy.

So as of today, I’m officially on a two week holiday 🙂 Whoo hoo. how exciting, not. It’s really not like being on holiday at all. You know that feeling when you’re so excited it’s you last day at work… well it doesn’t come close, sorry.

I’ve two weeks to prep and get ready, so fingers crossed for me. I really wanted to get back to it sooner, but I’ll take this as good prep.

I’ve had some amazing support from here, thanks everyone. Going to make the most of my last two weeks off. 🙂

Catch you soon.

Almost 10,000 views.

Come on people, make my new year a fab one, and I might even do something really nice for the 10,000 viewer. Let me know who you are in the post below and I’ll see what creative delight I can sort for you.

Writing has gone very well today, I’m so pleased with things at present. This will be the best year ever. I know it.

heheheh

A new year, a new start. Onwards :)

Happy new year indeed to everyone.

I’ve seen my ‘report’ come through from word press on my blog. It’s always really interesting to see how many people have viewed your site over the year.

I’ve also seen lots of people publish theres. So here are some interesting facts about mine.

  • I started this blog in January of 2012. So it’s technically 2 year old. Although it has posts now going back to 1994.  I posted for a couple of months but then stopped, only really starting up again in Oct of that year. I had 3,791 views.

  • My best ever viewing was 248 in one day, in Oct 2012 when I started back up again. I think this was due to posting all my blogs from other websites. Must have been interesting.

  • In 2013 I’ve had 6,091 almost double the views. With the most views being on Jan 1st at 113 and that was also my most successful month at 1,186 views. I am going to have to try and emulate that one this year.

  • I also have 565 comments, and viewers from 68 countries.

These are great statistics, and I wouldn’t be here without all of you, so thanks. I’m very pleased, and I hope my blog does continue to grow. Along with the wonderful friends I’ve made along the way.

2014 is going to be a wonderful year. I’m very honoured to share it with you all.

Wishing everyone all the best for 2014 :)

This won’t be a long one, as I am still pretty much under the weather. Like everyone else we all reflect on the things that happen and the things we’ve been through.

In 2013, I met some of the best people ever. You all know who you are. And for me the most wonderful Coach/editor, in EJ Runyon. Who has helped me attain one of my best writing achievements, TSK is almost half way there. The process seems to some to be long. But I’m primarily a scriptwriter working really hard on my debut novel. It’s goals are high, because of the TV series already penned and in time I know I will see those goals come to fruition. Through the support of these people, I am 100% sure next year will be awesome.

One of the hardest thing I did was break my arm. It itself had a lot of setbacks. Mostly financially, but emotionally too. I’m on the mend and looking forward to heading back to work after this long hiatus. What it did teach me once again is that there are some friends out there who really matter. And again others who are by the by. It is life, and we learn by the things throw our way.

I am very thankful for the people who have been there for me. My husband the most 🙂

So, all the best to 2014 and may it bring us all what we wish for.

Dawn

Hello :)

Well there is light at the end of the flu tunnel. I did make it out on Xmas day for a little while, but it knocked me for six yesterday and I spent it all in bed again.

There is nothing worse than being ill, and wanting to do things. Then when I was up and ready to take on the world. Skype wouldn’t work and that sucked. Don’t have a clue why.

Anyway, slept a lot again today and am tired, but have been catching up on some things. Mostly cleaning and getting to grips with things. I haven’t even ventured to see my fish in 7 days. And that is not like me at all. I love my koi so much, but when I am unwell I can’t help but not go to see them in the freezing cold. Luckily hubby has looked after them and kept on top of feeding my sturgeon.

Writing, well have only done my homework, requested by EJ, but today I managed to catch a few read throughs of chapters ahead. So, I’m hoping to be back on form this weekend and for the coming week.

The bad news for me, was after getting myself ready emotionally for going back to work on the 6th Jan, I got my wages and a letter saying they’d given me my accrued holidays, and don’t want me back till the 20th Jan. 😦 I am sad about this because I want to really get back into it all. And kicking the new year off back to work would have done me good.

Oh well, more time to get on with some editing. 🙂 Can’t complain at that.

Fingers crossed for the coming year for us all, I know some of my friends have had a really rough one. The last few months for me, have been pretty tough, but the light there, peeking back at me is fab.

2014 will be so much better.

Looking forward to a good start. What do you think you might get up too? Fill me in everyone, been away for a bit, and it’s a lot to catch up on. 🙂

Speak soon.
