Flooding Improvements – DIY Large scale

This year has been one consistent monopoly of doing things. From December and altering the whole back of the house, to the flooding after xmas.

We had to make some big decision on things, and sorting out the flooding problem was one of the first. No point having a nice house, if the water comes over the doorstep and ruins the new flooring.

So, work commenced….

 

 

This next lot of jobs might just about do us in, but even more so will be worth it, finishing off the flagging to the bottom wood stores, coal bunker and the pond. And starting work on the driveway. EEEK.

It’s been tough, it will be tough. But the results of that hard work, more than worth it. 🙂

A month to catch up on…

It’s been a horrid month and a bit, and I’ve stayed away from posting because it’s not been good at all. My husband lost his job, and financially we took a severe hit. A really bad hit. Over a month with no wage…. and yeah I freaked out. I smiled and pretended things were all okay, when inside, everything horrid was going on. Suffering with depression and a severe lack of self worth once, makes those evil voices in your head, say even worse things to you, and all the coping behaviours that I used to use, wanted to come back. In the end, I had to just use what I could to survive, which now, I need a good kick up the backside from and to pull my head out my ass.

Everything that could go wrong just did, and it all came at once, my car’s exhaust fell off, and we were also due to go on holiday… and yeah it really sucked beyond just sucking… I was low, and very unsure of what was going to happen for us… (and being low the diet went out the window, I drank far too much, also I injured myself falling over the day he got sacked. haha)

But we dug in, tightened our belts and with the support of my friends and family we got through it. We’re back on the up, hubby started a new job and fingers crossed in a month or so we’ll be back to fighting fit 🙂

Our holiday away, was amazing, and I love Devon for being the best place ever.

But, then you come home, and you have to go back to work. Sigh…

The first week back in work is always the hardest and yeah it was. But I won’t go into all that. haha.

Moving onwards we’ve still loads of exciting things for TSK and us.

Life is not the best right now and I could do with a rest.

I believe it’s just a test right now, yet I still feel so blessed.

What hurts me, and makes me cry, also makes me fight.

No, no, not flight… I might have once turned and run.

Wether it be just a test or the best, I am not done.

Where would be the fun.

TSK- and Catching up!

Personally though it’s been one heck of a month through April and the start of May hasn’t begun with the best of intentions for me.

I had some pretty nasty computer issues when my Mac’s trackpad just decided to go off on one and like a demon started moving things around and freaking out, clicking on anything it wanted. It took me 3 weeks to sort out the computer, go buy a Mac Desktop and get things back to a semi even keel. There was no way of me doing anything the last few weeks of April, with campnano – It just put me so far behind in my daily tasks that I’ve struggled like a crazy woman to even catch anything up what so ever, and yeah I’m still behind. I seem to get somewhere near back to normal and then something else just throws itself in the mix.

The joy of life and it revolving around writing and computers….

I can say the work side of computers has settled down and that is making things much less stressful there, thank goodness. I don’t think I could have coped at all with all of them going wrong at the same time. I would have just had a breakdown! and not a mental one, I’m talking about just throwing them out the window! lol

Seriously though, things are moving along in many different and good ways. We’re headed to retail with our first Audiobook TSK-Lethao, with the 28th May as our personal Launch date (fingers crossed everything is all good to go for then) we’re having an online party and if anyone wished to come, keep an eye on our facebook fan page –

And by that time, I’m away for two weeks rest and recoup! going down to Devon again this year, and I can’t wait. My co writer has been working on a novel for TSK from our scripted 13 EP TV series – SPOILERS….. no I can’t it really is a secret, but I get to read the first draft and I’m so so excited to see what he’s written.

So as you guys can see there is much is on going, so much is coming together, I know it will be worth it, I’m hanging in there for it! And I know you are too!
